Terms of Service

Welcome to Tooloogle (the “App”), a mobile application that bundles a growing collection of everyday utility tools and shortcuts. By downloading, installing, or using the App you (“you”, “the user”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

These Terms govern your use of the Tooloogle mobile app and the related website at https://www.tooloogle.com (collectively, the “Service”), provided by Tooloogle (“we”, “us”, “our”).

1.Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the App you represent that you meet these requirements.

2.License to use the App

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the App on a device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not:

  • copy, modify, translate, or create derivative works of the App except as expressly permitted by applicable law;

  • reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits;

  • rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the App;

  • remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices on the App;

  • use the App to build a competing product or service, or to scrape or harvest content;

  • use the App in a way that violates any applicable law or third-party right.

3.Tools provided by the App

The App is a launcher and front-end for a set of utility tools, including (without limitation) calculators, converters, generators, scanners, and quick-action shortcuts. Many of these tools are powered by the open-source @tooloogle/tools library.

The tools are provided for general informational and convenience purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional advice (medical, legal, financial, engineering, or otherwise), and any results, calculations, measurements, or readings shown by the App may be approximate or inaccurate. Do not rely on the App for decisions where accuracy or safety is critical.

Some tools use device sensors (camera, magnetometer, accelerometer, GPS, microphone, flashlight, etc.) or contact external services (such as deep-linking to WhatsApp, Telegram, Play Store listings, or e-commerce sites). Use of those features may be subject to permissions you grant on your device and the terms of the third-party services involved.

4.Region- and country-specific tools

Some tools are tagged for specific regions (for example, India-only e-commerce or pharmacy shortcuts) and may be hidden by default in other regions. Region detection is performed on-device based on your device locale and is provided as a convenience; it is not guaranteed to be accurate. You may enable or disable any tool from the Customize Home screen.

5.Content you provide

The App processes most content you enter (text, numbers, photos, scans, etc.) on your device. We do not collect or store this content on our servers unless explicitly stated for a particular feature. You are solely responsible for any content you input and for ensuring you have the right to use it.

6.Third-party services and links

The App may link to or interact with third-party websites, apps, or services (e.g., Google Play, Facebook, X, GitHub, WhatsApp, Telegram, payment providers, e-commerce sites). We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party content, products, or practices. Your use of any third-party service is governed by that party’s own terms and privacy policy.

7.Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App to:

  • infringe or violate the intellectual property or privacy rights of others;

  • transmit unlawful, harmful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable content;

  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, its related systems, or any user’s data;

  • interfere with or disrupt the App, the servers or networks connected to the App, or any other user’s enjoyment of the App;

  • introduce viruses, worms, malware, or any other malicious code.

We reserve the right (but have no obligation) to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms.

8.Updates and availability

We may update, improve, change, suspend, or discontinue the App or any of its tools at any time, with or without notice. We may also push updates that fix bugs, change behavior, or remove tools. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated App.

We do not guarantee that the App will be available, error-free, secure, or uninterrupted at all times.

9.Open-source components

The App incorporates open-source software, including (but not limited to) Expo, React Native, Expo Router, Expo Sensors, Expo Camera, @expo/vector-icons, and @tooloogle/tools. Each such component is licensed under its own license terms, and nothing in these Terms is intended to limit your rights under those licenses.

10.Intellectual property

The App, including its design, branding, text, graphics, layout, and the compilation of its tools, is owned by Tooloogle and/or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. The “Tooloogle” name and logo are trademarks of Tooloogle. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.

11.Donations and support

The App may include optional links to donate or sponsor the project (for example, via Buy Me a Coffee). All donations are voluntary, non-refundable, and provide no additional rights or services beyond those granted under these Terms.

12.Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or quiet enjoyment.

Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that:

  • the App will meet your requirements;

  • the App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free;

  • the results obtained from using the App will be accurate or reliable;

  • any errors in the App will be corrected.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.

13.Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Tooloogle, its affiliates, or its contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

The App is provided to you free of charge. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total cumulative liability for all claims arising out of or related to the App will not exceed INR 1,00.

14.Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tooloogle and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to (a) your use or misuse of the App, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any rights of another party.

15.Termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use the App. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause or notice, including if we believe you have violated these Terms.

Upon termination, the licenses granted to you under these Terms will end and you must stop using the App. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including without limitation Sections 5, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17) will survive.

16.Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to applicable mandatory consumer protection law, you agree that the courts located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App.

17.Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, post a notice in the App or on https://www.tooloogle.com/terms. Your continued use of the App after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

18.Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement. These Terms (together with our Privacy Policy at https://www.tooloogle.com/privacy) constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.

  • Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

  • Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms freely.
